Exempt Position Overview:
Uphold service standards to provide polished and uncompromising service to all our guests by working with Service department using motivational and educational tools/contests.
Staffing and scheduling within budgeted restaurant perimeters and oversee all hiring and training for servers.
Responsibilities:
Complete weekly server schedule with labor budget consideration Adjust server schedule/staffing to reflect seasonal business changes Create and execute monthly food calendar to enhance server menu knowledge Implement and update when necessary-daily/weekly side work charts to ensure cleanliness Maintain all server-side station areas to comply with local/state health code Work with Bar Manager to organize and orchestrate wine education with new and existing staff members Maintain budgeted percentages for labor Interview/hire/Orientate all new Servers with direct guidance from the GM/AGM Develop new programs to increase Guest satisfaction and operational excellence Teach, implement, and reward associates in their empowerment to meet/exceed guest expectations.
Oversee all training of Service staff from start to finish and keep updated materials on hand Update staff regularly with the tools necessary regarding menu highlights Monitors teamwork and service and counsels associates on both aspects Utilize leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize associate productivity Conducts effective associate meetings and counseling sessions while communicating appropriately Ensures that all associates receive fair and consistent treatment and opportunity to advance Assists in interviewing and hiring of qualified applications Serves as a role model for employees through teamwork, attention to detail, quality control, and interactions with guests Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Sense of urgency with the ability to think and respond quickly.
Strong desire to 'do whatever it takes' for the Guest's experience Organized with a high attention to detail.
Knowledgeable and proficient regarding all Operating costs Ability to work positively with all associates within the restaurant.
Ability to multi-task while taking care of the Guest's needs and maintaining composure.
Strong communication skills and an outgoing personality.
Experience Required:
Organizational Development or Business Administration.
Strong financial skills, Profit and Loss management, budget and forecasting experience.
Five plus years prior professional experience in restaurant management required.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Guests, clients, and other associates of the organization.
Ability to work positively with all associates within the restaurant.
Knowledge of Labor Laws, Health Codes, Safe Food Handling and Sanitation, Safety and Security systems and procedures, computer operations.
Strong people management skills, communication and listening skills.
Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills Must be internally motivated, detail oriented and have a passion for teaching others.
Servsafe Certified in the Fundamentals of Responsible Alcohol Service Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, pull, push, balance, carry) up to 15 pounds.
Ability to move throughout the restaurant (standing, walking, bending, kneeling) for extended periods of time.
Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environments.
